For carers and care organisations

Cleaning help for the people you support

Care visits are for care. When a client's home also needs keeping clean, refer them or their family to us for a regular or one-off clean by a background-checked cleaner, at a price they see before they book.

  • Home care agencies and personal assistants
  • Social prescribers and community link workers
  • Family carers looking after someone at home
A care worker goes through a letter with an older man at his kitchen table while a cleaner wipes the worktop behind them.

How a referral works

  1. You mention cleand

We can give your organisation its own link, so we can count the bookings that come through you.
  2. The client or family books

Online, with the price shown first. They choose the day, the frequency and how the cleaner gets in.
  3. A checked cleaner comes

Every cleaner passes a background (DBS) check and is approved by cleand, and every clean is covered by our insurance.
  4. Plans change, the cleans follow

A clean can be skipped or moved up to 2 hours before, for a hospital stay or a bad day.

What our cleaners do, and don't do

So that everyone knows where the line is, before the first visit:

They do

  • Kitchens, bathrooms and floors
  • Dusting, bins and tidying as they go
  • Deeper one-off cleans when a home has slipped
  • Ironing, as an extra

They don't

  • Personal care or help with medication
  • Shopping, errands or meals
  • Looking after the client or pets
  • Anything above a small step ladder
A cleaner smooths a pale green sheet on a single bed, with a grab rail on the wall and a walking frame by the wardrobe.

Questions people ask

No. cleand books home cleaning. Our cleaners don't give personal care, help with medication or look after anyone, so a referral to us sits alongside care, not in place of it.

The client or their family books online and pays by card. A family member can book for a parent's address with their own email, and manage the cleans from their booking page.

Yes. When booking, choose "Key safe" and give its location and code. The booking can also say that someone will let the cleaner in.

Whether a direct payment can be used for cleaning is up to the client's council, so check with them first. Every paid booking has an invoice in the customer's account.

The cleaner arrives in a morning (8am to 12pm) or afternoon (12pm to 5pm) window. Pick the one that doesn't overlap with care calls, and add a note if a time inside the window is better.
